FACTORY OF DREAMS When I heard Factory Of Dreams previous album Poles it left me feeling let down. It didn't explore its full potential and felt like a really poor man's Nightwish. I wish I could say something along the way of major improvement in regards to Factory Of Dreams second album Strange Utopia but I still feel that something isn't explored to it's fullest. It's like Hugo Flores lets his ambitions hinder him from fulfilling the potential of Factory Of Dreams if it was left to live on it's own merits instead of looking everywhere for confirmation from its fellow goth metal partners. While not being bad it's not something you run like hell for. You've heard it a hundred times before, both done better and worse, that it doesn't spark any grander reactions than " just another goth metal album". A destiny no album deserves or should be subjected to. -Anders Ekdahl |
