Exhibit
A
I liked this a lot and it’s easy to see why this crusty core crew from sunny Stoke are fast on the rise. On top of a burgeoning nu metalcore base comes the dual vocal attack from Jon & Bez that sorta reminds me of earlier acts like Extreme Noise Terror. But Exhibit A take it further. A lot further with an eclectic fusion of styles in those vocals from screamcore to rapcore to emo that could liken them to Slipknot, Mudvayne or Dry Kill Logic. Whatever the case, songs like ‘3221’, ‘Blind For Trying’ and ‘D.A.T.’ create an intense wall of noise, yet remain catchy and accessible. Most of all, despite the diversity, there’s still a definite identifying sound to Exhibit A so they manage ably to hold one’s attention thru the length of this excellent debut.
