This has all the makings of what in my book constitutes a good deathrash record. There’s the drive, the aggression and the all important homage to the Greats of the past that defined the sound, while still keeping it modern and up-to-date. So don’t be surprised if you find traces of Slayer and At The Gates in the music of Finnish Codeon. Despite this only being an m-cd you still get plenty of material to sink your sharpened teeth into. With a playing time of 30min you get everything you wish for while still wanting to put your greedy little fingers on some more. It’s that addictive, which really hurts to write seeing as they are Finnish and per se never ever can or should be better than us Swedes. But hey; life isn’t always fair and just.
