80 tracks! With that many tracks I at least expected some sort of grind/noise combo to blast out of my speakers. Not a Finnish bass/drum (not bass’n’drum) duo experimenting their way through a musical journey. I’m not a novice when it comes to bands that don’t feature a guitar player but in the case of Overbass or Borås Energi I at least had some sort of idea where they came from musically. With Cause For Effect I don’t.

In a World where time efficiency is the key word listening to this Finnish bass/drum duo Cause For Effect might seem like a total waste of time (which it isn’t). Over the duration 80 tracks this comp. cd takes us 360° through the life of Cause For Effect. Not everything holds up for scrutiny but as a document over a bands development it offers a conclusive and somewhat interesting look.
