Although a strange title for their 5th album, these nutty Swiss quartet are well known throughout Europe having done the festival circuit and several tours. I guess its the fact that they release only every 2 years or so that may be keeping them from the limelight cos it sure ain't the mountains of death they bring with them!! Hoarse Araya-esque vocals and trademark Slayer furious riffing mixed in with Death for the slower parts - now that’s a fuckin lethal combination cos they’ve taken the two best bands who were best at what they do and stuck ‘em together (Death Slayer anyone?)!! With a big style production (check out that drum sound!) to match the 10 catchy tracks on this album, Cataract have violated every patent and copyright (and probably their musical integrity - oh yeah, they're Swiss) but they’ve done it so well it’s easy to see why this will sell by the bucket load. Probably just as well as they’ll need the shekels (from the Swiss bank a/c) for those baying lawyers!!!
