BURNER
"One For The Road"
(Arctic Music Group)
The automobile might not be an American invention but road music sure
is. With such a vast country people needed something to listen to while
driving alone. I can't drive without music but I'm sure that Burner's
"One For The Road" will never play in my stereo when I hit the roads.
It does start with a really good COC kind of groove in the first song
"American Dream" but track by track the album turns into another more-balls-less-brain
type of record, courtesy of Pantera's success. By the twelfth track I
can't remember one single track, with the exception of the first. Maybe
I'm too European and sensitive to get the more muscles, no emotions philosophy
that seem to be what Burner live by. When you want to see more photos
of the 55 Chevy that is on the cover than hear the music, with the exception
of that first track, you know it's going to be a bumpy ride.
