Wow, I can see what all the buzz is about Anterior! Are these guys really
only 17 years old? No way, they play like 27 year olds! Ok, youth bands are
in today, but unlike Poland?s Decapitated who take the evisceration ?Hostel?
strategy, or Job For A Cowboy, who simply fry your brain with their off the
wall histrionics, Anterior have a desire and a talent to inherit the crown
that Dave Mustaine created in the form of technical metal. With excellent
production ?This Age Of Silence? is anything but that and instead a wall of
power that oozes confidence in its quality songs. There is undisputed talent
in the 4 Welsh guys that make up Anterior, making one wonder why more
established bands can?t put out quality product Like this. Like Muhammad Ali
who whilst having the beef, wanted to show the sweet science of boxing,
Anterior too have quite a few horses under their hood. But they thankfully
resist the bludgeon approach, instead preferring the sucker punch tactic of
luring their opponents with catchy riffs and melody - especially in the case
of Leon Kemps standout guitar work - before socking it to ?em. True Welsh
champions from the land of Budgie!
