I liked Andromeda’s debut album “Extension Of A Wish” and the Dream Theater vibe they had going. Just like Dream Theater (I’m sorry, but there’s no way not to compare you to DT) they switch from mellower parts to more intricate by the blink of an eye. You can call the twists and turns for whatever fancy schmancy word you like. What it comes down to in the end is if the music is any good. Having read the label press on this new one I kind of expected Andromeda to have gone Frank Zappa weird on me but the truth be known they’re just as progressive as they were on their first album with maybe a bit more twists and turns to make my head spin around once or twice more than necessary. But once I’ve got my head screwed on right I’m left with a record that I like.
