Woooaahhh, this is a prime mutha of an album. Better than Clutch, Scissorfight or Lamb of God or even God all rolled together. These Philly fuckers are gonna be big. They have a true balls out album in ‘Iron Gag’ with 11 songs that just fuckin rock with heavy but catchy riffs, pounding drums, crashing cymbals and the rotty roar of Bob Meadows. No messing, no fillers, just one body blow of a song after another that it was only after the album was over that I bothered to look at the song titles! And they’re certainly ambitious, as they’ve produced an extreme ballard in ‘Detest’ and it bloody works - fuckin true genius guys!! I can’t believe that ALOL self produced this - and its only their second album - cos these guys are fast learners indeed(from maestro Rob Cagginao - ex Anthrax - no less) as the mix is excellent. Clearly this band know exactly what they want and have gone straight for it. 10 out of 10.
