How deep can one get in terms of life and the universe? Infinitely I would say, having listened to Ilid's amazing debut and now heard to word of Natascia, the vocal talent who clearly prescribes the band's music as a form of therapy. Turn on and tune in......

Ilid is the union of two words 'I' and 'Lid' - ok, I get that bit but can ya pls tellus what is the meaning behind joining these two words (like, 'Ilid' doesn't mean anything to me - mebbe I'm thinking about this too deeply hmmmm :))?

You are right, Ilid doesn't mean anything. We should call the band "Eyelid",but a lot of bands already used this name. So we put I(me)instead of "eye".That is crazy,I know! English people please forgive me!

So what was wrong with your previous bands and how do you meet Ronny - was it like, a meeting of minds and an instant orgasmic explosion of creativity?!

My previous bands hadn't the strength to stand me! I'm kidding! I was lucky to meet Ronny cause he's a wonderful person and he has awesome ideas! I met him during a concert in which he was playing with his band. I was listening to the songs and I said to myself “Hey, I finally found my band!”

Things seem to be moving fast for you guys (must've been my ace review ha ha) -you've been to the US so can you tell us how you found it and how much of a difference this will make to the band's future?

This was an amazing experience! In the US they have a different way of working, which means that they are really qualified and prepared. They first try to know who you are and then they work on the songs.

Have you played many live shows? I'm finding it hard to visualize what an Ilid show must be like - I guess its not like a hardcore show with the band jumping up and down ha ha. What kind of an audience do you attract?

We have just five songs ready not much for a live show. But soon we will record the entire album and we will start to think about live gigs. What we know is that we'd like to express visually our songs and our feelings, so maybe our shows will be music and arts together. I don't know exactly what kind af audience we attract, but once a spanish girl wrote me that she felt really relaxed while she was listening to our songs! So no doctors, no medicines, anyone who wants to feel better: listen to Ilid music!

How do you guys come up with such brilliant songs - do you spend endless hours pondering and being creative or do you just hit the studio, and jam it out in an intense burst of music?

Ronny, the guitar player, has a great imagination and creativity! He creates songs in a day! So we spend much more time in the recording studio.

What are your inspirations?

The inspiration for us is like a wonderful butterfly: we can catch it at the right moment in the right place,or we can loose it 'till it dies in a blink of an eye. So there are moments in which we have inspiration and we spend all the time in writing the songs. And there are times in which our imagination is dry like a desert. This inspiration can come out from the outside world or the inside one.

Is there a message in your songs - are there any examples that you can describe for us?

Yes of course there is. For example in the song Sacred I try to tell people never to give up. Life is a short big war in which we fight a battle every day; we can win but we can lose too, and when we are loosing It's time for us to get up again stronger then before.The song Encore has a quite strange text, but It could be my prayer to my own god. Even if anyone can have his own interpretation of it! Envenomation is a song about delusion for what God does not do about human kind. That's why I'm asking every day if he forgot us or not. The grief is a love story with a bad ending...

You have an excellent voice - have you been trained perhaps in classical or opera or is it just a naturally beautiful voice :) ?

Thanks so much for your compliment, but unfortunately I hadn't had the chance to be trained nor in classical neither in opera. I wish one day to do that!
